For independent PT, chiropractic & sports-medicine clinics
BioLay runs the schedule, writes the first draft of the note, and grinds through the insurance work — eligibility, claims, denials, appeals — in one calm system your whole clinic can actually use.
Early access is opening clinic by clinic — tell us about yours.
Built on 35 discovery interviews — 20 independent clinics, 15 hospital clinicians — before the first line of code.
The note
With the patient’s consent, BioLay listens to the visit and drafts the SOAP note — every line traceable to what was actually said. You review, edit, and sign. Billable units are computed by the software under Medicare’s 8-minute rule, never guessed by the AI.
The signed note is frozen and hash-stamped. Corrections are addenda — the record never quietly changes.
Reports steady improvement since Thursday. Soreness with stair descent, 4/10 today; evening ache resolved with ice. Home program feels easier.
39 timed minutes → 3 units under the 8-minute rule — computed, not guessed.
One claim’s whole life
Insurance
Eligibility checks run overnight for tomorrow’s schedule. Claims are scrubbed against the rules payers actually enforce, then submitted, tracked, and posted automatically. When a denial lands, BioLay reads the reason code and drafts the appeal — you approve, nothing sends itself.
Paper remittances have a home too, for the weeks before ERAs switch on.
Patients
Patients book their own follow-ups, do their exercises with the program you assigned, message the clinic, and pay their balance — from a link, no app store, no password.
Good morning, James.

Compliance
The 8-minute rule
Units computed from documented minutes — CMS totals or the AMA rule of eighths, per payer.
Certification clocks
Plan-of-care signatures tracked against the 30-day and 90-day deadlines, with quiet reminders before they expire.
Progress notes on time
The tenth visit requires a progress note before it signs. The system counts so nobody has to.
Threshold & modifiers
KX past the Medicare therapy threshold, GP on plan-of-care services, 59 where the code pairs demand it.
A record that holds
Signed notes are immutable — corrections are signed addenda. Every chart view lands in a tamper-evident audit trail.
AI that knows its place
Drafts only. A clinician signs every note; a biller approves every claim. Nothing leaves without a human.
Enter your clinic once — providers, visit types, payers, fees — and the whole system is yours the same morning.
